mosquito fish are much more aggressive than guppies and are much less colorful. they will not stop harassing them. so either get rid of them or live with it pretty much

The fish have been there for many months now.. The turtles don't bother them anymore.

^^Read that. Mosquitofish were harassing guppies, nearly to death.

Out of every 100 men, ten shouldn't even be there. Eighty are just targets. Nine are the real fighters and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Oh, but one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back. -Heraclitus of Ephesus

I know! I read a bit about it after they first started chasing guppies around. But since I removed the only mosquitofish male they seem much quieter and don't bother guppies that much anymore.

Good stuff. Also, I like your tank a lot, someday I want to make mine more "natural".

What an AMAZING setup you have there! I can say it easily gets a 5star rating! I've been looking everywhere to get duckweed plants for my turtles, where did you get yours at and what other plants are those in your setup?

Thanks. You can find duckweed in ponds-streams this time of the year, it's pretty common. I have to say it won't last long with res though. Now there's very little remaining even though i put tons of it in the tank. Goldfish like to eat it too.
As for the other plants, they're all fake except lucky bamboo (dracaena sanderiana) and pothos (Scindapsus Aureum o Scindapsus spp).

Do you have to clean the Duckweed at all when you get it from ponds? To prevent any sort of hitchhikers or fungus/algae growth?

It's always a good idea to throughly check and clean something before using it in your tank.
