I found this video on youtube and I could not believe my eyes.

I thought in the USA it was illegal to sell turtles under 4" ?

Can not belive the way they are delivered and how the girl has no clue. I was shocked when she dropped the little things on several occassions.

The company in the video was turtleshack [not reputable].com which could be seen clearly on the letter, envelope and tank sticker. I think this company should be questioned on how they operate.

Watch the video and you will be shocked, no wonder youtube have disabled the comments facility.

It is illegal but the laws are not strictly enforced. Not surprising, the place she ordered them from has been flagged on this forum.

Just to be fair ive dropped baby turtles too but to me she seemed to know her stuff to me anyway. She knew scutes and that you cant sex them till older. Thats way better then what most people who first get turtles knew. Tank was okay, no gravel, did look like uvb was there too just not over basking area.

Well on the delivery and packing part i will give them some credit there. They do a nice job. Thats about all they do right. Since ive gotten alot of turtles over the internet from many different people. Some boxes were so so bad.

Ah perfect! Found someone who posted a video unboxing from the breeder Dave. Worst packaging award to this guy. I also bought from him last year. Alot of people got dead or injured turtles from him. He is on a do not buy list on another forum.

This still surprises me (but maybe because I'm still so new to turtles).
How safe is it to ship them in a box like this? Can they breathe?
I am really shocked that it's permissible to just pack a living creature into a box and ship it like that.
