Other Turtle Discussion :: Tankmate?

Hi so another topic any tankmate for a RES I'm just wondering about mostly a frog or rosy red minnows or fathead minnows. I'm also wondering about plants and crustaceans but I highly doubt that is there any thing else though?

I wouldn't put a frog in, they will die horribly.

Some people have larger cichlids and plecos in the tank with their turtles. Consider any other creature you put in the tank with the turtle expendable, soon or later they will be eaten, either swallowed whole or torn to pieces. I had a tank full of tetras living with my turtle for months, then one day they were all eaten.

LOL but the rosy reds I just felt putting them as a "temporary" mate but if they do survive they might because I have a few hiding especially one that's only 1 inch wide they can hide in it

I had a minnow last about 2 years. He got big and fat. Then one day he was gone. I never put anything in the tank that's bigger than one bite if you know what I mean. I'd hate to find pieces everywhere, that'd just be terrible.
