So yesterday my mom and my stepdad got into a huge fight, and now they are splitting up for some time or even possibly for ever, that leaves me and my mom with no home, but my mom knows a place that we can stay, how ever we live in Florida and the place is in Missouri, now the problem is, is my Turtle(s) I have 2 Turtles at the moment, one we recently rescued, any how the place we are going to be staying is a small apartment room and is only big enough for maybe a 60 gallon tank at max, which means I can not keep my Turtles, so I was wondering do you know any websites that I may advertise my Turtles for people that have ponds? Please I only have a month before we leave and move out to Missouri, and I do not want to bring my Turtles to a pet store.

Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry about everything! Could you bring the turtles with you and keep them in a rubbermaid stock tank? You could keep it on the floor in your room. How big are your turtles?

The rescue is a Cooter, she is 8 inches in shell length, the one I have had since she was a newborn hatchling is now a 9 1/2 inch Yellow Bellied Slider. Unfortunately I would need a 120 gallon at least for them, and that is way to big for a small apartment room, because the apartment room only fits 2 single sized beds, or 1 Queen sized bed, and maybe a work desk. So anything bigger than a 60-80 gallon tank will take up too much space. Another reason why I cannot bring them is because we are driving to missouri and it will take 2 days to get there, and during this time the Turtles will get heavily stressed and I hate to put that on them.

Very sorry to hear it. 2 days is not a big deal, you only need to rehydrate them once or twice a day to let them eat and drink. How big is their tank now?

Unfortunately I never got the Job I was offered.
So the tank is the same size, according to my mom I will be able to work where we will be living, the only problem is that the nearest city is about a hundred miles away, because we will be living in the country with other people.

It's okay, maybe I will keep them, and hopefully I will be able to get a bigger tank. I just don't know right now. All I know is that I am very depressed.

Maybe you should contact this organization: http://www.turtlerescueusa.com/wordpress/?page_id=4 It looks like they rehab wild turtles and return them to the wild, so they may not be exactly what you're looking for, but it seems like they have a lot of connections to rescue organizations so they might be able to point you in the right direction.

Good luck!!

Well I already found them a new place to live they are in a pond, with other pet turtles. Any how since I still love turtles I bought my self a little snapper, I was wondering is it okay if I still use this website for help even if I have snapper now?

What made you decide to buy a snapper? They can get wrather large and aggressive. A Mississippi map stays smaller and the tend to be nice turtles.

Won't you have the same issue with a new turtle now? As Kansasslider said, snappers get pretty big.
