I would like to get my turtle to eat in a separate tub from my aquarium but when I put him in a big container he just sits there like a nub.

Any tips or tricks on teaching him to eat outside his home?

What does everyone use for feeding tank? Would a large ice cream bucket work or something like that?

How long have you had him? It just takes time... try some of his favorite treats firsts so he will associate with the container sooner. I use a stainless steel sin that is just used for turtle stuff. I only use it when they've been outside and need a soak before I put them back. Normally, I just feed inside their tank.
