I have two questions.

1. Every few days my 8" female slide gets into a frenzy and tears her tank up. She pulls the heater down, moves the branch I have in there and has moves a very heavy rock (I have no idea how she does this). She has also taken apart the tube and filter in the tank that draws the debris out, pulls the suction cups off the glass. She is relentless.

2. Can we put large snails in the tank to eat algae or will she harass mercilessly?

Thank you

1. Unfortunately some turtles are more destructive than others. You may need to consider taking out large rocks in case it damages the tank. The rest you may need to find creative ways to hide and protect.

2. Turtles will eat snails. If your getting algae is caused by too much light and too many nutrients in the water. Cut the amount of light or how long you have the lights on and increase water changes.
