:( I joined yesterday and when I got home he was dead. I found out later from his activity it was a RI.
I'm new at the turtle thing and my turtle Joey seems fine. I rescued him from Downtown Los Angeles.

Sorry for your loss :-( If you decide to get another turtle, hang around here and read up first.

Very sorry to hear the news. Two months is a very short life. :( (I presume he was Joey, or do you have another turtle? If you do, I would thoroughly clean out the set-up.)

He was very small and it's very hard to maintain him. The day before he died I think he was trying to get my attention, but I thought he was just playing around. Thanks for your comments though. :(

Hey! Jake -
My family got our 5 from downtown LA also. Approx. 4 yrs ago , and today the biggest one is 8 " in length. 4 females & 1 male all doing fine.
Make sure they get plenty of lighting and food and they'll do GREAT!
Try again and this time go to PETSMART. They have an entire section devoted for turts.
