My roommate and I found 2 baby turtles abandoned in a white tub, with less than a half-inch of water, left in the notorious Arizona sun
I have now spent the first 2 weeks of turtle ownership researching like cray and learning so much. I hope that the hatchlings — Tattoo and Dino — continue to thrive; float/sink, eat, sleep, bask, excrete, etc.
Both of them are so cute it is a bit insane and I find it hard to not handle them. Alas I understand as of yesterday the dangers of over-handling.
My eyes have been opened to my having SO much to learn about aquatic turtles and I think I have found a serious new unexpected passion : )
I have a couple questions which I will proceed to ask in the appropriate forums. Lastly, this site has really supplemented me with information that probably saved my hatchlings' lives these past couple weeks, and I'm really excited to now be a part of it <3.
