Hi guys new to the site, but have had my RES for about 3 years
Pizza and Pasta (My wife works in a pizzeria) came to us because someone we knew acquired them and didn't want to take care of them so we took them in to give them a good home.
Three years later and three different tank set ups i am now really getting into it (attending to the turtles was my wives thing and i just kinda dealt with them). but now i really enjoy them. Once we have a little more space i would like to put them in something even bigger. Also i may build a out of the water basking area soon on the current set up.

here are a few pics

a few more rocks will be added this week

tank still has a lot of work to be done to make it the way i really want it, but it will get there

Thanks! Yeah my wife works in a pizzeria and considering she got them from the pizza maker/cook at her job we thought the names were fitting lol

Cool! What is the square piece you used for the basking area? I'm constantly thinking now of 'variety' for my tank. I just have a huge landscape rock from out by the pool.

That's a light diffuser (aka egg crate). You can find it in the lighting section at hardware stores.

Looks good. What's keeping the ATBA in place?

I love that one looks like he's playing in the bubbles.

the box just fits in the 1/2 inch lip inside the top of the tank nice and snug. Now it just needs paint or vinyl wrap and i should finished

and yes they love the bubbles, they play in them all the time

bad news my 75 gal freebie tank (nothing in life is free) sprung a leak last friday morning, not terrible but bad enough.

so that night i went out and got a 56 tall for a good deal and set it up on sat

Image

also a few weeks ago i adopted out one of my turtles so he could go to an even larger home and they were getting quite aggressive. so down to just Pizza. Pasta is happy though in a 125 gal all by himself

Sorry about the leak, any plans to re-seal it?
