I became an unexpected RES mom last week when I took in two baby turtles from a coworker. I never really thought about having turtles before, but now that I have them I am thrilled! They're about the size of a half dollar and are very cute. I think I'm going to name them Jack and Diane.

They seem very healthy and active, but I really don't know much about them. I found this site while searching for ways to take care of the little guys and it has been very useful! I look forward to talking with you all and getting advice on keeping them healthy and strong.

See you around!

Hey there! I became an unexpected RES mom about a month ago...while I was at Petco doing cat adoption for the vet hospital I work at someone brought my Zeke in and was going to dump him...I couldn't have that now so I took him home. This forum will be great for you. Read the basic care site www.redearslider.com as well as all the stickies on each subject, it will let you know all you need to know about the basics of good care i.e; Tank size, filters, lights, basking, feeding etc. Welcome aboard!!!!
