My name is Roxanne & I'm 18 years old, residing in SOUTHERN CA.
This is my first time owning RES, and I purchased them at DOWNTOWN LA.
I know it's a bad idea that I purchased them from D.LA, but I didn't know
back then.
Anyway, the two that I bought were pretty much love on first sight. They
had the most beautiful color and pattern out of all the turtles I saw that day.
I asked my boyfriend if he could get it for me, and he bought it for me! =)
I was so happy that I get to own turtle now! Something that I wanted for
such a long time... =] plus! I can hold them too ( unlike fishes that I own -
Endler guppies, and beta fish. )
I always try to feed my pets the best food out there... ( I fed my fish
hikari brand, because I know that it's good quality food ) so I searched
on the net for some info about RES and what to feed them. Fortunately,
I found this great informative website! it has everything I need to know.
Currently, I feed my RES reptomin pellet & hikari turtle pellet... and I
feed them fresh romaine lettuce every other day. I already got an UVA
lamp for them but I still don't have a UVB light... I'm sort of short on
money right now and will get it as soon as I can.
