Hi All,

I am glad I found this web site. I've already learned a lot. I bought two baby RES from a street vendor in Philly. I feel bad now that I know it was illegal. My poor turtles-- exposed to a criminal element at a young age.

Their names are Spaz and Zee which is a loose interpretation of their behavior (one is hyper and the other sleeps (zzz) all the time). But they may be acting that way because they are uncomfortable. This weekend, I'll start setting up their habitat.

Hi there!! I'm not too far from Philly. I feel the same as you, we got our turtle (just yesterday) from a Farmer's Market type of deal. Until I started looking things up I didn't know it was illegal. But I'm glad to save this turtle from a possible bad ending!!
