Hello! I just joined the Forum. I have two RES. Their names are Donatello and Leonardo. I got them both in March of 1998 when they were hatchlings, so they are 7 years old now. It's hard to believe that I brought them home in a container smaller than one of them is now. I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I first got them, but after some research, guidence, and a lot of shopping I managed to get them off to a good healthy start.

Today they are happily living in a horse trough in my dining room. Every day when the sun sets and shines in the dining room window they can be found on their basking rock. I Love my little guys very much!!

I will post pictures soon in the Photo Gallery.
:)

Welcome to the forum. Love the names.. hahaha. The 4 turtles I babysat for that caused my "addiction" to turtles were named... Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael... go figure.. :) I'd have thought that those in their mid20s (my son's friend) would have out grown the Ninja turtles.. but guess not .. :D

Welcome to the forum... Nice to meet you. I loved the Ninja turtles when I was younger. But I don't care for the newer shows that my kids watch. Oh well, to each his own.

Hi and Welcome. :D Another member has just named his turt Leonardo, and said when he gets a second, it will be named...you guessed it, Donatello. (Nice names for turts.)

A horse trough in the dining room--that is so great! Love to see a little imagination when it comes to habitats.

Looking foward to seeing the pics. :D

;) Never would have thought to do that!! HA, they would probably eat it if I did. They're pigs, although they would rather have some baby shrimps of banana for a treat!

I wanted to name my turtle Ninja but my husband wasn't so sure he like Donatello but personally Raphel after a poll and asking around we went with Neptune.

A horse trough . . . sounds like my Dad's house *lol*
