Hi! I am new here. I have one red earred slider turtle named Twelvey, my younger son named him lol I have had him for 4yrs now. I was told he was a 1yr old when I got him but I think he was younger than that. We just got a new turtle yesterday, named Shelby. We got her from a Rescue Shelter. They were told she was a red earred slider but her shell is so different from the rest that I have seen. Her shell is a beautiful reddish color and looks like feathers around the edges. I think she is beautiful. A lot bigger than I was expecting so I am off to find a bigger tank for her.
