I'm a 3rd grade teacher in Arlington, Texas, and am very fond of critters. (4 dogs, 3 cats, 4 leopard geckoes, 4 RES...but no partridge in a pear tree...yet!) My daughter and I got the RES at the same time, but her 2 are huge. Mine are "small and smaller"...I remember having RES as a child (and actually as a college student, since we were not allowed pets in the dorm...the turtle bowl could be hidden in the closet when the wicked witch of the inspection team came in), with little pictures painted on their backs...many many many years ago. I've always had critters at school, and my kiddos love helping take care of them. I now have a "boarder" and posted on another board about that one. So many interesting things on these boards!
