Hi guys. i am looking at setting up a turtle tank. i am looking at getting two turtles. My tank is about 140 litres. I currently have a filter and heater. I am just sussing out a ramp for my turtles and well as some lighting....i cant wait to get them

How big will they be? 140 litres (about 37 gallons) is only adequate for hatchlings.

Think 40 litres for every 2.5 centimeters of shell length (I hope my conversion is close :))

the shell on them at the shop are about 4-5 cm's i think....yeah my tank is just under a metre long by 40cm high by 38 cm wide...i thought it would be big enough for two res? Maybe what the shop told me is wrong...let me know

that tank will probably last you 3 months before you will need to upgrade... they will grow fast when they are this young, with adult females topping around 10-12 inches (30.5cm).

Welcome to the forum... I'll let Steve keep doing the great job at converting. :) Somewhere way in the back of my mind it seems I heard something about that in math class... but that was a long time ago. :lol:
