Hey,

I'm Pat, from Victoria B.C. Got a juvenile RES a couple weeks ago from my LPS. His name is Donatello (wife named him). Just here for advice if I need it.

He's in an 80 gallon tank. I have UVA, UVB light source, and heating lamp. There's more I'd like to do with the set up, but he has a good basking area for now, and lots of clean water to swim in.
1 RES, less than a year old.

HI & welcome to the site. It's a refreshing breath of fresh air to see someone with proper equipment for a RES from the start.

I have experience with RES's. I had a 13 yr old RES when I was a kid, who I got from my brother in law. Had to give him up when I moved out west. That turtle is actually still alive, nearly 30 years old.

Anyway, glad to join. Will bounce questions off you guys, should I ever need it.
