Hi and Welcome .. :)

Tell us a bit more about your turtles and your setup. If you have pictures, we'd love to see them :)

Post Posted: Tue Mar 28, 2006 3:27 am   My Turtles: Mamoy and Miik

Hi Carol, Sonja and Giddy.

Thanks for the welcome greetings. :D
Sorry, it took me a while to respond to this...

Anyway, my turtles are Mamoy & Miik. I have yet to figure out how to post pictures here...One time I found one on the side of their bowl sleeping. I didn't know that turtles could stick themselves on glass like some sort of suction cup.

They're both so adorable. Makes me look forward to coming home after work. I have a bit of a problem though with Mamoy's left eyelids. They're a bit sore and in the morning she can't open her eyes until I run her face in clear running water. Any advice?

Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Are Mamoy's eyes swollen at all? Is the one stuck shut because of mucus?

What do you mean by their "bowl?" If you're keeping them in some sort of lagoon (aka Death Bowl), please read the info on the site as to what their requirements are...An inadequate habitat is going to compromise their health and lead to major health problems.

If you do have them in a tank, what is their set-up like (lighting, filtration, basking area, etc.)? What is the temp of the water and basking area?
