Hi,
My name is Ed and I live in Southern California. My birthday was 2 days ago and my wife came home carrying a box with screens on each side. I opened it up and there were 2 RES's. And I didn't even know I wanted them! I named them Slip and Slide. Slip is the smaller on because it's name has less letters, and Slide is the bigger one because, well, it's name has more letters. I'll have to do a little research to find out if I can tell gender yet, one about 4" long, the other about 5".
So I'll be lurking and asking the usual newby questions so these little dudes or dudettes will have a chance. Right now they're in and inground, preformed 100 gallon Lowe's special with a submerged filter and a UV light for algae.
I'll be sure to read on and edumacate my own self for my turtles could be better.
Ed
Slip = 4"
Slyde = 3 1/2"
Shelldon = 4"
100 gallon inground outdoor pond

Your intro made me laugh! Welcome!

I would say that they are going to love that 100 gallon pond. Be sure that it is preditor proof though, because raccoons can be a serious problem.

I'll leave you to ask more specific questions after you have done some reading. And post some pics if you have some!
