Hey guys,I'm a new turtle owner,was given one a friend no longer wanted.We have named him Nails.He is in need of some proper care but I will post in the right section about that soon.I'm loving having him,has only been 10 days but he has become a happy member of our animal family (3 cats,2 dogs,2 axolotls,4 goldfish,a lot of water snails,and Nails)The cats love him,one sits watching him for ages,and he seems to like her too.He has a cool personality,and seems so fearless!

Welcome! Do you have any pics you can share? I'm assuming he has come pretty long nails?

your cats like your turtle?? is that safe? i heard that cats like to play w/ moving things...

With supervision it should be fine. Each pet owner has to know the limits of their pets. My cats are scared of my turtles, but curious at the same time. I still keep an eye on them to make sure they don't hurt each other, lol.

My cat loves my turtles too. The tank is up on a stand though so she cat reach them. My turtles seem to think they're tougher than the cat anyway :p
