im frm singapore and i currently
own 2 red ear slider and 1 star tortoise
one of them has grown quite big since i own it for very long time already lik since the age of 10 already and the other RES i hv only owned it for mayb about 1 - 2yrs , cant realli rmb , i keep both in seperate tanks tho.
the star tortoise is given to me by a friend of mine since their parents didnt realli lik the tortoise so i offered to rear it instead hoping tt i could give similar or better care lik my fren did.
since i live in singapore it seems tt the climate here is very very suitable for RES and other terrapins/turtles/tortoise alike, the sun especially , they like it alot , sometimes they could bask for damn long under the sun. i tink if foreigners come here , they would say its hot , but its alrite for me since i lived here for such a long time lol! well , in singapore , there used to be more places tt sell RES den now , it seems lesser n lesser now in singapore , i tink. however RES is the most common turtle sold here. the only other turtles i see in singapore is only the
star tortoise and the pignose turtle tt is totally aquatic. however those are kinda rare to find in sg. lol, i never seen a box tortoise or snapping tortoise or any sort of other turtle/tortoise in my country except for those i mention.
but there are alot of big RES in ponds tt i see tho, some of them actually live with big kois i tink?
