I got my RES from a friend that had him in a tiny plastic container like the ones they sell for Beta fish. He was tiny and apparently she got him from China town in NY City, and sort of got bored of having him. Anyway, I've been checking out the site and it's been incredibly helpful since I've never had a RES before. I named my turtle Pedro and he currently lives in a nice heated tank with all the essentials. He's grown a lot in the past two years and I love seeing him swim and bask, and beg for food. I just fell in love with the little guy! I refer to him as a "him" for now because I'm not sure what he really is yet. =)
