Well he still refuses to eat any type of pellets or packaged food, but he loves minnows. I started with 4 and he would chase them but was unable to catch any so I added 20 more. He's managed to get 3 in the past hour. He has been swimming non-stop. I am glad to see his health improving just wish I could figure out what type of pellets he will eat. I am going take out the minnows tomarrow and put them in a separate breeding tank.

If you can find something that's not alive that your turtle likes (like tuna or shrimp, for instance) you can feed him a mixture of pellets and the food he likes, at first with only a little bit of pellets but gradually increasing the proportion of pellets until he's eating all pellets. A number of people have had success transitioning their turtles this way.

My turtle likes some pellets and not others. He'll eat reptomin and mazuri but not zoo med or Monster. You might try a different brand.

Well he has finally begun to eat pellets he has one heck of an appetite. I like watching him chase the minnows, spends a half hour swimming just to catch one. I think hes going to make a full recovery. I've posted some pics in the indoor forum. Thanks for all the help guys.
