early this morning at around 230 i heard cujo making more noise than normal. i went over to his tank and saw that his head was lodged under the airline tube. i pulled the tube out and set cujo on his basking dock. im not sure how long he was stuck though. he was still moving when i got to him though. he doesnt seem to be swimming lopsided or anything though. if he has RI when would he start showing the symptons? are there any measures i can take as a precaution?

Glad you caught him in time. I'd increase the temps and keep him a bit warmer than unusual and be on the look-out for any RI symptoms.

Is the tubing re-arranged so it can't happen again? You'd think Cujo would have better sense than to get stuck again but believe, he doesn't. While you're at it, look at the whole tank with an eye to what else Cujo could get stuck in. Some turtles just like to squeeze themselves into tight places.
