Hi, for these past five days, my baby res has been eating & 'pooping' within 30 minutes. The 'poop' isn't loose so it shouldn't be diarrhea? He usually takes 6-10 hours to 'poop' after his meals. Is there something wrong or has he just developed a faster metabolism?

What is the temp? What is the setup like? When my turtle was smaller he pooped 5 min after he ate. Now he takes about 15 or more minutes.

When my turtle was young he'd poop within 15 minues or so. That way, I could feed him in a separate container and not only keep the food crumbs out of his tank, but also the poop! After a while he got to where he didn't poop after each meal - don't know why he changed. I've read on here before that some turtles poop right after they eat and some don't. If everything else is ok then there's probably nothing to worry about.

My turtle often poops or pees RIGHT after she eats. I think it is because there is only so much room in their shell. They eat, then it forces the poop out, LOL! Well, maybe it isn't so simple, but I think you know what I mean. :)

Doesn't sound like anything to worry about. Glad to hear he is eating/pooping ok. :)
