I was givin my turtle that was bitten on her butt part of the shell the everyday antibacterial scrub and betadine treatment and noticed a scute that was peeled up. So, I pulled it off. It came off pretty easy but there was a small bit of bleeding. She is in the tub restin on a towel takin a break and drying off. Do I need to do anything special about the part that bled a little?

You shouldn't have pulled on that scute! Never force anything to come off, even if it seems like it should. Let nature take it's course. If you were applying antibacterial cream, put some of that on and let it completely dry. If it's still bleeding, try to stop the bleeding first by gently dabbing a towel on it.

My bad. I put betadine on it after dabbin. Its not like pouring just a slight ooze.

She is doing better. The break is healing and there is new shell growth. The bleeding is doing good as well.
