Hi, I got my Repti Glo 5.0 from Petmart at Serangoon North. If u are staying at west side then I'm not sure if Clementi C328 has it or not. But take note of the burn in period of the light as it might cause the eye problem too.
How big is ur RES? My RES shell was soft too when i get them like they were only 1.5inch long but after some shedding it will be hard. Ofcourse the UVB will help and if you can get them direct sun light then it is much better. But bear in mind that glasses will filter out UVB and do not put your tank directly under sun light as ur RES will be cooked.
How much is the water temp? It could affect the appetite also.
