I believe they just did the cytology under the scope and he was not sure exactly what it was, but when we took a q-tip and swabbed the areas it came off.. I'm gonna see if the vet I work for will maybe do a culture to send out to the lab. I"m not sure how else to figure out what's causing it. I'm gonna do some research on it though.
Yes it's only on the seams but it came clean when I swabbed them both clean. I can tell when they add chemicals to my water cuz i can smell them, so I'm just hoping there is something in the water causing this.

Feed only once/day & that will help a lot. Make sure your turts are getting enough calcium too.....I add a calcium block to the water periodically. I have trouble with my turt chomping at the calcium block, so in this case, I just add the block to her filter and as the water goes thru, it dissolves just fine.

From what it looks like, your turts look like very healthy females (teeny tiny claws)! The pink lines may be from overfeeding (shell looks like it is stretching around the pink areas). Just keep up on the calcium & cut back on the feedings to once a day.

Those seams look like they've been dyed pink, not the way they would look if your turtle were growing too fast. If the red comes off and appears to be from something in the water, have you had your water analyzed (not just tested)? You have nothing in the tank that would contribute to the color?

Feeding less would be good, since they're growing so fast. Giving them a variety of more plant matter would also be good.

The only thing in the tank right now is the basking area, ,, nothing pink.. I am cutting back on their food most definately. I totally forgot to ask if they were boys or girls... I was in a rush I went on my lunch break and it took forever..
I am hoping to find out if it's just something in the water.. I will know more on saturday.
