Hi. My turtle is 2 years old, he's about 13-14 cm. He was always very active and had a good apetite. Then he started to refuse food for a few days, and shortly after he became lethargic and refused to go into the water. I took him to the vet and he gave him antibyotics. He started to eat a little bit, not regularly, and he is a little bit more active and goes to water sometimes. But, some red-brownish spots appeared on his front legs after he started the antibyotic therapy, and he scratches his legs, it seems like they itches him. Is it possible that it's some alergie to antibyotic?

Its possible, but it could also be a different infection/problem or his condition has worsened. It would be a good idea to talk or visit your vet again.

There is another member who posted recently whose turtle was put on antibiotics (she didn't say which one) and who has also since noticed reddish spots on the front legs that she says her turtle is scratching.

What medication is your turtle being given? A reaction to the antibiotic is possible, but you should be asking the vet about the spots and whether or not the medication is responsible for them.

Turtles take a long time to heal but you also have to figure out why he got sick in the first place. What is your setup like?
