My RES doesn't. Just a thought---could those areas (backs of the legs) be rubbing against the scutes?

I'm not sure of what you're trying to say. When I meant the inside part I meant this:

That pic is so blurry...What I was referring to was the inner part of leg. I was wondering if he was rubbing the skin of his legs on his plastron when he pulled them in if he were a little overweight. That area doesn't seem to be what you're talking about from that arrow you drew though...

Well I'm not exactly sure how to describe that. By the ways, how can you tell a turtle is overweigh?

When they pull their legs and head into the shell, the excess flesh pooches out of the sides.

Here's a post with a picture of an overweight turtle:

The only thing that overlaps the legs is the skin flaps from the neck when he tucks his head in is that normal? Well Peanut doesn't seem to be overweigh according to the pictures....But what could be causing the backlegs so pinkish?

Look at the scutes on the plastron where he brings his legs in. Are the edges sharp at all?

So I guess it's the food that caused it.

When you change the diet, does the redness go away?

I guess. I fed him apple once and the pinkness seemed to have reduced. So It is the food then (?). Thanks for all your help everyone.

P.S. Should I feed him different stuff from now on?

Variety in the diet is good, but a good turtle pellet should be a staple.
