Amazingly, the little turtle has started eating little bits of other things - providing that I...
a) separate him in another container, but keep it floating in the main tank,
b) give him something to hide under, like a lettuce leaf.
c) have a carnivore pellet in the container with him - the smell must be attractive.

With all these conditions, he has had a few bloodworms, liveworms, a little nibble of a ReptoMin pellet, and a bit of the carnivore pellet!

I just hope it keeps up! Otherwise, I will have to try to find a vet who will pretend not to know that my turtle is forbidden here!
Thanks again!

Goodness! He's a very sensitive little guy isn't he. I hope he's on the road to good health now.

We had 4 RES as small as a quarter. They went through depression from being separated, pneumonia, anxiety from being together, eye problems. One did pass, one we found a home for and is doing great and we kept 2. They live together in a big pond in the summer and come in during the winter and live in separate tanks. All said and done no matter the crisis they loved their cooked chicken. You can't feed them too much because it is fattenng for them, they will bust out of their shells. But once a week is fine. Try to see if she'll eat the chicken. You may have to coax her but just try it, once she takes it she'll eat. It is amazing the things that will set off a crisis. Moose loves spinach and Myrtle doens't. Good luck
4 mini schnauzers, 1 cockateil, 1 RES, 3 Nubian Goats, 2 Roman Tufted Geese, 1 38 yo blind pony.
