my pastel slider seems to be shedding a thin layer off a couple of his scutes his shell feels a little bumpy in a couple of spots some scutes seem to be raised or rounded then others especialy frunt scutes by head his shell is not smooth like my other res wich is not a pastel is this normal? he also wedges himself between my rock and floating doc and scratches his back-- back and forth and side to side-- he seems to enjoy doing this. Does any one know is this common reaction to shedding or shell growth (scratching)
Would like to post video it is realy great to see he realy gets into it!!

Here are a couple of pics of him in action

How abrasive is the rock your turtle is scratching his back on?

It would be better to post your question under the Feeding and Nutrition Forum. It has nothing to do with the thread that's been started.
