one of my turtles (under 4") has grown something in its neck. It looks as if it swallowed something large. I haven't been able to touch the growth to see if it is hard/soft. I'm afraid it might be an internal fungus..if there is such a thing..and am worried it will transfer to the other turtles. I have no idea what it is...
Be sure and take your turtle ASAP as an abcess is very painful. If caught early enough it's quite curable but you have to get it taken care of right away.
Lancing an abscess is very routine, a vet shouldn't have a problem doing it regardless of your turtle's size. Make sure you find a vet that deals with herps, they are much more familiar with turtles.
