Yesterday, I noticed that my other little RES has a little dark spot under her mouth that is usually not there. The diameter is only around 1 mm. She doesn't seem sick though (still eats/swims/basks/sleeps normally).

I've tried taking a picture, but since it's so small, the picture didn't turn out to be clear enough to see the spot.

Should I be worried?

Is it a spot like a discoloration or does it look more like a fungus growing? And have you tried gently wiping the spot away with a Q tip or something soft? Obviously pictures would be nice, but they can be challenging to get. Does your camera have any close-up settings?

The spot is on her chin? It's probably a little injury. Maybe she scraped it on an ornament. Is there another turtle in the same tank? Maybe one of them bit the other.

Take her out of the tank and let her dry off in a safe place for 10 minutes or so. Then put a little Neosporin or triple anti-biotic ointment on a q tip and dab a tiny bit on the spot. Let the ointment soak in for about 10 minutes, then put her back in the tank.

Keep the water very clean and keep an eye on the spot. If it seems to be growing, then take her to see a vet. Hopefully it's a small matter that will heal on it's own.

Yes, there is another turtle in the tank. It looks kind of a little mole or something. But this doesn't affect her at all, though, so I don't really want to put on an antibiotic yet.

Here's a picture. Sorry it's not very clear.

On the turtles right side? It looks like it possibly could be a bruise. Is any of the skin off of it? What does the inside of the mouth look like?

Yes, it's the black dot.

No, there isn't any skin off of it, and I think the inside of the mouth looks just fine. She doesn't have problems in eating either.
