Urgent Care :: TOUTOLINA THREW UP!!!

So, she was playing in the sun and then I took her in....changed her water - heard a burping sound then she started throwing up old pellets!!!!!!!!! What's going on? A lot is coming out. So much that I have to change the water again!!!

It's not uncommon for a turtle who has eaten too much or too fast to throw up. Had she had a large meal earlier in the day? Sounds like her tummy was overfull and she was relieving some of the pressure.

Is it possible she overheated outside? Or was the freshly changed water unusually warm or cool?

Keep an eye on her. If she starts showing other symptoms, refuses to eat for several days or throws up over and over, then it's time to see a vet. Hopefully, it was a one time thing and she'll be fine.

Thank you! It is possible the sun might bave been a little too warm for her. She's doing alright now and is eating.

well ive never expirenced me having a turtle throw up. i only had a turtle for a few weeks and the baby for about a year. if they do stat throwing up then i know i have a problem because i dont overfeed them by the day
