my turtle has eaten multiple rocks from his tank. im afraid that he has become impacted. i have not found any excretions in his tank for a few weeks now. i have taken the rocks out but i am worried that it might be to late. my turtle is very small not even a year old yet.

Im not sure what you should do, offer him some foods that he hasn't had that much, like live crickets he should go for those then maybe they'll come out in the poop, or take him to a herp vet..

no he is still eating but nothing is coming out. is it possible that the rocks have clogged him up?

I'm not too sure, a lot of the time when this happens theyll crap it out or get impacted so i am not sure what to do wait till someone who knows what to do about this posts, try to feed him a bit more to see if u can make him poop again.

As long as he's eating, I wouldn't worry about him being impacted. If he was impacted, he wouldn't want to eat. Wouldn't feel hungry.

Mine were both eating large gravel (didnt know it til I read about it here) and I immediately removed it. For about 6 months after that I was picking out pebbles as they pooped them out. You'd be surprised at what a turtle can pass.

Probably depends on how much you feed him..

Mine eats theirs right after they do it, so that is a big possibility, but that means hes also re-eating the rocks so u gotta scoop it out when u see it till all the rocks are gone.

Mine have always eaten their poop. It's possible yours are doing the same. I find lettuce helps loosen the bowels.

is it just a natural function for all turtles to eat their poo?
but is there anything i can give my turtle to act as a laxative to make him poo?

Also, I never see poop in the tank anymore. If it wasnt for all that crap in the filter, I'd think they weren't pooping.

Something high in fiber might make him.
