Urgent Care :: Pyramiding

Ok,I have two turtles.I don't know if their shell is pyramiding or not.They're just babies so I just feed them Reptomin Pellets.I don't think I need to start trying to feed them veggies 'til they're just a little bit bigger and older.I don't know if that's what I should do or not.I don't know how old they are,but their about 2" long w/ tail.I'm gonna post a few pics.,but I don't know if you'll be able to tell w/ the pics.,because I can't upload any onto the computer right now,so I have to use the pics. I already have on the computer.I'm posting the links instead of the actualy pic. on here,so the pics. will be bigger,and it might be easier to tell,but I don't.

I'll try to post some better ones,but these are all I have.Like I said,you probably won't be able to tell.I don't think they're pyramiding because the their shell is flat,but ridges toward the top.

Can't tell from those distant photos (need closeups), but if they're starting to, since they're hatchlings, adjusting the diet should take care of the problem in time.

It's never to early to start offering veggies/aquatic plants like anachris, even if they're not interested in them right away. Once they get fixated on one or a few foods, new foods take longer to accept.

Hatchlings often have a slight ridge on the scutes over the spine.

How many (regular-size?) Reptomin pellets do you feed them at a feeding? How often are they fed?

Well,they're not hatchlings,but they're still very young.I feed them 3 times a day;one stick each time I feed them.I'll try to find some veggies around the house,which I don't know if we have any,but what are some veggies I can feed them?

Can they eat green grapes?

Dark green/red lettuce, dandelion greens, anything leafy and deep green should be okay for your turtle. Fruits aren't really recommended because they are so high in sugar. However, blueberries are good for them because they're packed with vitamins.

Ok,well I do have some carrots and peas in te freezer that we aren't gonna eat,so I might try those,just let 'em thaw out before I ever give them that.Well,thanks!!

Leafy greens are good for them, especially dandelions. My turtles like thin carrot peels. If you feed sliced carrot, making the slices really thin and the pieces small would probably be more attractive to them.
