Urgent Care :: My turtle almost drowned.

She keeps eating the dock!
and i just caught her taking a bite out of it and she started to "yawn" but she kept doing it and rubbing her face really hard and jerking her head back and forth over and over and all i could do was sit and watch. then she finely swallowed it i guess.
im feeding her normally

sunday - treat, and veggies,
monday - pellets and veggies
tuesday - nothing
wednesday - pellets veggies
thursday nothing
friday veggies
saturday nothing

Let me guess...Zoomed floating turtle dock?
Boy how I hate those things!
I mean, they work fine and my turtle loved it, but they're far too easy to destroy.
I could chip pieces off easily with my fingernail, therefore Bowser could bite pieces off.
She was eating it so much that she began to poop more in a day than she should in a week.
Floating dock poo, spread all across the surface of the tank.
And because of all the extra waste, the ammonia levels in the water were super high.
She now has one of the Oasis Turtle Plaforms and we both love it.
It's so nice to finally see Bowser poop a normal non-floating turd-shaped turtle turd. LOL

and yes it is zoo med and i will definately look into an oasis one and i have actually noticed she does poop alot and they look realy funny.

oasis one is awesome, just got mine on monday and cody loves it gives him alot more room to bask and he likes to sleep on the bottom part thats in the water lol.

Sounds like he was choking on the piece of dock, mine does the same when he tries to eat crickets in one gulp.
