Hello all,
I have started to notice this white patch on the corner of the shell and am not sure what i am dealing with although i am forced to think its fungus. I have posted pictures about the issue in question and also the whole shell taken when completely dry. Please comment on the same and suggest remedies.
Thank you

The pictures are a bit blurry, but looking at that third one in particular, it almost looks like a scute getting ready to shed.

Does it have a raised edge that is almost translucent? If so, I'd say your little one is shedding.

But the pictures are blurry and I've not seen fungus except for pictures, so I could be wrong.

Hard to tell but it does look like it a bit. If you can get your hands on SSD cream, you might be able to take of it quickly.

What's SSD mate?
Thanks for your time guys.
The problem seems to have progressed. It's apparent underwater so getting pictures is a lil tricky. I'll post Em ASAP.

It's an abbreviation for Silver sulfadiazine or silvadene. It also goes by the names Silverex, Silvazine, Flamazine, Thermazene. It's burn cream medication and requires a prescription in the US.

I can hold of that. How do i apply the same? and How often? Any special instructions like if dry docking is necessary or somthing?

Here are some pictures from my turtle underwater and white patches on the shell. I tried to capture them to the best of my ability ,its a little hard with him moving around
in the water.

There are a few ways to do it but first make sure your tank/filtration/lighting/water quality/basking stuff is 100% ready because you don't want a reoccurrence. As for applying the cream, during the evening I would let the turtle go into a dry enclosure (could be a large box, sectioned off room, etc) for about 30-60 minutes. The turtle won't like it but you want the shell to be dry. Apply a very small, thin layer of the cream. It's greasy, so spread it around. Turn off the lights and let the turtle sleep overnight with the cream on. In the morning, there will be some residue, so you will have to wipe the shell and possibly scrub it (with a new, clean toothbrush) under some water. Wipe again and return the turtle into the main tank.

Gotcha. Thanks again. But how often do I repeat the above procedure?
Is it a one time thing or do I have to do this daily over a period of time?

I'd try it for 5-7 days. If it works, it'll work quickly.
