Hello, hoping for some insight on a new thing my turtle has began doing. He is making this really mournful sound - almost like an injured cat. He does it quite often and throughout the day. This started last week. I have not noticed any other changes in his behavior except that he may be eating slightly less than normal. There has been no changes to his feed, habitat, etc.
I have had him for 16 or 17 years now and have NEVER heard him make noise before. Is there a common explanation for this or should I be concerned about some illness? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
