hi guys, I'm back with yet another problem.I think my turtle has prolapse.AND I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT GO TO THE VET.I got so grounded, that my parents took all my money.I tried telling them that Vien is sick, and even showed them, and they said that it's supposed to be like that.I don't know what else to do.I soaked her in warm clean water for 30 minutes, and someone suggested preparation H.Will this help?If it does, then how do I use it?She hasn't pooped in about a week.HELP!!!I'm getting so worried

Oh yea, also, there is nothing that she could've ate, only the snail.I know that the snail died after Vien bit her,and that's when she got sick, but I examined the snail, and all the hard parts were still on her,and it hasn't gone back in for about 3 days.

I'd definitely NOT use the Preparation H.. who told you to do this? What exactly is it you are seeing.. and how long has your turtle been this way?

Is Vien acting different? If the tail is swollen, then you do need to get her checked out. Let your parents read this topic.

HELP!!!It's getting worse.I stayed up till 2 am yesterday, and I wanted to call the vet but can't reach him because it's easter. As soon as Vien tried to get on the rock, she fell off,and I could see that she was in pain. She closed her eyes and went into her shell, and she was trying to scratch her butt but i didn't let her. Then, when she opened her eyes,it seemed like she was in her own world. Then she started gasping for air.I woke my mom up, and she said she was fine again.I'm not sure, but I think that prolapse went back in.She still hasn't pooped, and lost her appetite. What can this be?What should I do?HELP!!!!!If I finally reach the vet,I'm giving her away.Hopefully the vet can take better care of her.

Try to keep her warm, around 80-84 degrees. If she's having difficulty swimming, then you should take her out of the tank. And make sure your vet is qualified to help her out on this.

How is the turtle? Has he been seen by a herp vet yet?

You should be keeping the turtle in clean water so that the affected area stays moist. Lower the water level if the swimming ability is affected, but you need to prevent the affected area from drying out.
