Sandyspongebob:
To find out how much a vet visit would run, the best option is to call around, there is a sticky note that's helpful in locating herp vets. Most vets are accommodating and if you have trouble meeting the cost all at once they'll accept a payment plan, vets are there first to help animals and second to make a living :-)
I think it's important to call soon because if the abcess gets any more infected it can cause your turtle to stop eating and (s)he'll only get worse, plus it is terribly uncomfortable for them. Also, make sure you're keeping the water extra clean (which is hard with turts :-) ) to help prevent things from getting worse until a vet can see him.

I hope so too, I'm so glad you're bringing her :-) ... it's never easy to meet these unexpected turtle costs... turtles don't know how high maintenance they truly are haha... good luck at the visit!
