i think my turtle has RI. here are all the problem lately. she wont eats, open her mouth in tank once in a while, cant swim her arms are okay but she cant move her legs, and she wont poop.

how this happened?? i think... i dropped but it wasnt all that high, ~4 to 6 inches off the ground. i think there is something wrong with her inside, she looks very healthy on the outside.

what can i do to make my turtle better?? i have to fly this weekend and wont be back untill next weekend, i just told my sister to watch her.
i live in nyc and want to know the price for herp vet. visit

my res is about 7inches 5yrs?? water temperature 80-84
right now she is a smaller tank with low water level since she cant swims... i m so worry about her, please help!!!

Vet prices will vary, find a herp vet who handles turtles and can run the necessary tests (like x-rays). If all of this happened soon after you dropped (?) her, then she could easily have internal injuries and even broken bones.

i called around the charlotte Nc area, and to give you an idea, the lady at the front desk said an examination was 42 dollars, and if the turtle was really sick, it was 62 because they had to do more, plus whatever you are going to pay in medication.
