i dont know how well these pictures will show it, but i noticed trumpet has a weird sort of throat pouch? like, it makes me think of a bird with a swollen crop, sort of. He still eats and acts normally
Is he just fat or?

That's normal , it helps them bring in more air to enhance their smell better. Becomes more noticeable as they get older.
