General Care Discussion :: Eating Everything

Hi, I am new to this forum. I have a seven year old painted turtle, and for the last year, I have had an issue with her eating (or attempting to eat) everything in her tank, including the suction cups on the basking platform, plastic plants, rocks and marbles, the cartridge in her filter, and even the tank silicone. What is causing this and how can I get her to stop?

My female RES is like that too. There's really not much you can do except remove the things she likes to bite, which unfortunately leaves a very bare tank.
