aw, i'm sorry for your loss!

are you going to try again and get another turtle? Make sure his shell is strong and green (no spots) and make sure his eyes are clear and open :)

I'm so sorry! You made his last days so much better than they would have been though. At least he had comfort and love at the end. You did your best for him.

I am sorry for your loss but try to pick a turtle from a petstore that houses them in good conditions next time. And this is maybe as hard as finding a vet here. I have seen ill turtles because they are being kept in inproper conditions but this turtle surely wins the first prize. How you didnt notice it that it was so ill when you got it? Because it can't become like that in two days and of course the illnes at this stage can't be your fault. I think there is an article here that tells how a healthy turtle looks like.
My sister once got a turtle because it was looking cute(smaller) and was calm compared to the others. Well, it didnt survive the night.
Also this vet problem is annoying. You have noone that you can rely to or give you advice (thank god there is internet though). Tell someone that you want to take yor turtle to a vet and they will laugh at you.

Really sorry to hear that :( Can you imagine how much more pain the little guy would be in if you hadn't picked him up? I'm sure Bubbles wanted you know that it was appreciated.

Are virtually ALL turtles sold in Greece sickly and almost... dead? Maybe you should get a hold of some of our forum members that are also in Greece. I'm sure they would love to give you pointers and tips specific to where yall live!

Good luck... let us know if ever you get another turt.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Annie...
I am sure that little Bubbles appreciated so much for your love and care. Actually you already helped him so very much. Turtles hide their illness and pretend nothing happened when they get sick until they can hold it no more -- possibly little Bubbles was already in an extremely bad shape when you bought him. After all, not like his life in the store, you provided his last days with so much love that he deserved, and now he's in a better place where he no longer suffers. You should be happy and proud that you gave him a home when he needed one most, Annie. RIP, Bubbles.

I am so sorry to hear what happened, I've been rooting for your little guy to pull through. Having lost one of mine 2 weeks ago I know how you feel. I'm sure my Nitro welcomed your Bubbles with big turtle kisses! May they rest in peace and take care of each other up there!
