Hey everyone -

I've been looking through the forums for the past few days and I think I have come up with the problem. I'm thinking Tucker has fungus on her shell, and I think she's retaining some scutes. I wanted to post some pictures to see what you guys thought. Let me know what you think. If necessary, I'll take her to the vet. I've read though that Silver Sulfadiazine is a treatment for fungus. Is this only available through a prescription? I've looked on amazon and other sites and found it for use on burns and stuff. Thanks for any feedback!

This looks to be what I think is a bacterial infection. I've seen something posted a few times.. will try to track it down. The good news is that it usually goes away after a shed or two.

Silver sulfadiazine is only available by prescription from a vet.

I've also used this product called Zoo Med Sulfa Dip in the past that helped with some mild fungus and infections, it's recently been discountinued but I still see it at petsmart/petco. I believe it's basically a mild lime sulfer bath.
