When I was reading the directions that came with my python a while back it said that since the water is aerated there is no need to use anything to remove the chlorine from the water. Is this true? I would assume that it means that the aeration of the water removes the chlorine, or something along those lines.
If you leave standing chlorinated water exposed to the air, the chlorine will dissipate, but over time (like about 24 hours). I don't know how long it would take with the python, though...perhaps the process is quicker if the water is running?

I have also heard that it would evaporate quicker in aerated water. I've also recently heard that chloramine would eventually convert into chlorine gas but over the course of several days - but I've haven't confirmed that yet.
