hopefully this will become a large thread where everyone can share what they have changed, added, or removed from there tanks daily. Have you added any fish? Any new Decor? Got a new tank? New Turtles? New Equipment? Anything!

I myself recently got a new Rubbernose Pleco for my tank. He is super cool looking. almost looks like a fake rubber fish!

i had a few things arrive today, my new led light strip which has made a great improvement to lighting the water, my siphon came to so i was able to give my sand a good clean and do a partial water change, and my fuses turned up as if my basking bulb blows the fuse blows in the plug too!

Ill have to take a pic of the big palm tree I stuck in there. They knock it over and just drag it all over the tank..I'd take it out if they didnt enjoy it so much!

My wife asked me to move the tank out of the spare bedroom and into the back of the family room. In doing so, I changed the background on the tank to black. I had a graphic background from seaview and applied with their special seaview sauce. It didn't stick that good and had lots of air bubbles. I went back to a watercolors background. NOTHING sticks bettter than these backgrounds other than paint. These backgrounds are like sheet vinyl that go on with soapy water. When they dry, they need to be peeled or even scraped off. Not your ordinary tape in place background.

Anywho... tank is in family room. The glass is filthy from being handled and moved down a flight of stairs yesterday. Background is black and I need to come up with some decorations. Ideas?

Looks really good! I wish mine was black! How heavy is the ATBA?

If I were you, I would put colored sand in that puppy. Do you want it to be bright or more natural looking?

Thank you. I was going for a more natural look. That ATBA is really 2 pieces. The hood part with the window is about 15 lbs. The tile and ramp probably weigh an additional 3-4 pounds.

surprisingly great. i wanted to take myrtle out and let the fish get familiar with the tank before putting myrtle in but my friend insisted we leave myrtle in the tank. so right away the cichlid is confused swimming into the glass and myrtle bites the cichlid. so i immediately take out myrtle and let the cichlid in the tank by itself for an hour or two and than put myrtle back in. after that they more or less ignore each other although often times it seems the cichlid is just watching myrtle and keeping its distance. the bite left no damage and only happened for a split second. im toying with the idea of adding another cichlid since i know they like to be together but im not sure. the cichlids name is skippy btw haha

unless I'm wrong, that looks like a jack dempsey to me which is a central american chiclid... not african.

you could be right, i thought it was a jack dempsey too, but my friend swears he is an african cichlid. but he also keeps buying fish he cant keep... so i dont think he pays much attention. and either way im still thinking about it. id like to just to have more fish in the tank but idk how good of an idea it is

remember central american cichlid can be kept with south american cichlid but NOT african cichlid. Different PH and they are aggressive towards each other.
