Habitat - Indoor :: How often do you clean your tank?

I haven't done a complete water change since July, and before that it was in January. I've got an XP3 on a 110 gallon stock tank with about 75-80 gallons in it. I do partial water changes weekly, and I keep a check on the water by testing for ammonia and nitrites. I try to clean the filter monthly - 5 weeks.

Marisa, have you ever noticed any major spikes in your tests? When I first set up the tank I ran tests weekly, then I stopped after awhile. I also have an xp3, but for an 80g tank. I change about 50% of the water every 5-7 days.

Sorry to be somewhat late in responding, jdub17. Never a major spike, the only time I saw the nitrite level up was 2-3 weeks after I set the tank up. The rest of the time the ammonia and nitrite levels have been at 0 ppm. I change about 25 - 30% weekly.
